How My Mother Sold My Baby – 17yr-Old Girl

Culled from PUNCHng...
Seventeen-year-old Blessing Godspower, on Wednesday narrated how her mother sold her (Godspower) eight-month-old baby.
The mother, Onyinyechi Nwabueze, 38, was paraded by the police at the ‘A’ Division of the Plateau State Police Command.
Policemen from the division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Victor Dimkpa, a Chief Superintendent of Police, had rescued the baby, Chiamaka, in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
The story was exclusively reported by PUNCH Metro on Friday.
Blessing, who was staying with her mother at Rukuba Road area of Jos North, was allegedly put in the family way by her boyfriend.
After Chiamaka was delivered, Godspower’s mother, who was not comfortable with the development, allegedly decided to get rid of the baby.
According to Blessing, on July 19, her mother sent her on a phony errand in order to effect the “diabolical” act.
She said, “My mother sent me on an errand, but when I came back I asked for my baby and my mother asked, ‘which baby?’ She feigned ignorance and at that point I started crying and reported the incident to the Police.”
Police Commissioner, Mr. Chris Olakpe said, “After the mother sent her daughter away, she (Nwabueze) stopped a tricycle and took the baby to the first receiver, one Eucharia Anyaegbu. Anyaegbu transferred the baby to the second receiver, Rita Maduako, who finally sold the baby to 53-year-old unmarried woman, Grace Nnadozie.”

Chidi Lloyd Arraigned For Attempted Murder

AFTER eight days in police custody, the Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr. Chidi Lloyd, on Wednesday, finally appeared before a High Court in Port Harcourt.
Lloyd, arraigned on six counts of attempted murder, conspiracy, assault and malicious damage, arrived at the court about 10.52am accompanied by riot policemen and other security operatives.
Clad in blue attire, the lawmaker limped as he entered the court premises, supported by two unidentified persons.
The offence of the PDP lawmaker, who was reportedly involved in the fracas in the State Assembly on July 9, 2013, the prosecution said, was contrary to Section 320 of the Criminal Code Law, Cap 37 laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.
Lloyd allegedly hit his fellow lawmaker, Mr. Michael Chinda, with a fake mace during a fight at the Assembly chamber.
During the hearing, the prosecution counsel, Mr. Donald De-wigwe (SAN), objected to the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Worgu Boms’ plea to take over the criminal proceeding.
De-wigwe argued that Boms could not take over the court proceedings since there was no proper arraignment of the accused before the court.
De-wigwe said, “Judicially, the argument does not stand. It is not a law of today. The issue is that whether or not there is a criminal proceeding before the court. Until plea is taken, there is still nothing for the attorney-general to takeover.”
Referring to legal authorities to defend his argument, De-wigwe said the attorney-general’s attempt to take over the criminal proceeding of the court was premature.
Boms had earlier noted that Section 211 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, empowered him to take over the case.

10 Shocking Things You Probably Didn't Know About Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi is a like a Playstation player who has the metallic taste of Diet Coke. Mixing expressions of Arsene Wenger and writer Fabian Casas, we get the image that the general public has of the best player of the moment.
Indeed, one of the most spectacular players of all time is known to have a rather depressing and bland personality. This article will change the way you see him…
Here are 10 facts about Messi you’ve probably never heard before:
1.He used to stuff his face with pastries and Milanese escalopes
When Messi was a child, a coach had found the right method for him to surpass himself constantly: he promised him a “alfajor” the full Argentine pastry sugar for every goal scored. Leo scored 5 or 6 then had swallowed his due.
The four Golden Ball has always loved food. His favorite dish: escalope Milanese. His mother was cooking them two or three times a week during his stay in Catalonia.
When Josep Guardiola was appointed coach of Barca, he quickly realized that his gluttony was problematic. The press began to call Messi “the star of porcelain” because of his recurring injuries, partly due to his unhealthy lifestyle.
Guardiola decided to remove the Coca-Cola vending machine from the training center , which Messi used and abused, and he appointed a physiotherapist, Juanjau Brau who taught him to “not run away when he saw a salad.”
“La Pulga” began to eat vegetables and stopped to spend the night watching the Argentine championship matches. And injuries have become more rare. To complete the job, Messi got engaged with a childhood friend who was studying to become a nutritionist, Antonella Rocuzzo.
Messi and antonella roccuzzo, his fiance who is also a nutritionist.

PHOTOS: Meet 8 Year Old Fish-Boy With Fish-like Scale As Skin

Eight-year-old boy, Pan Xianhang has been nicknamed 'fish boy' by neighbours because he's covered from head to toe in thick, itchy scales.
He was born in Wenling, China with a rare genetic skin disease known as Ichthyosis, after the ancient Greek word for fish.
Ichthyosis is a heterogeneous family of at least 28 generalized, mostly genetic skin disorders. All types of ichthyosis have dry, thickened, scaly or flaky skin. In many types there is cracked skin, which is said to resemble the scales on a fish.
Most sufferers develop dry scaly skin across part of their body, but Pan's case is severe, his scales have affected the shape of his eyes, nose, mouth and ears and they limit the movement of his arms and legs.
The condition also means he's in constant pain and struggles to sleep at night because of the itching.

Cesc Talk: United Considers A Club Record Bid For Fabregas

Manchester United are ready to make a club-record bid for Barcelona playmaker Cesc Fabregas as reports suggest the Premier League champions have not giving up on the former Arsenal man.
Cesc Fabregas- Seriously Wanted By Manchester United.
With the previous bids of £25m and £30m rejected by the La Liga champions, Manchester Evening News reported on Wednesday that a third bid that would exceed the £30.7m club transfer record paid Tottenham Hotspur for Dimitar Berbatov in 2008 is in consideration.
Despite new Barcelona coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino reiterating the club’s stance by saying a third bid will be dismissed, United still believe they can make the deal happen.
In his first press conference since succeeding Tito Vilalnova as coach, Martino said:
“I’m not going to involve myself in the club’s accounts, but considering the club has already rejected two offers, I would guess it will reject a third. In other words, Fabregas will remain here.”
United are of the understanding Fabregas wants to move to Old Trafford, were they to fail with a third bid, Moyes could turn to Everton’s Marouane Fellaini or Real Madrid’s Luka Modric.

Video: How Lagos Policemen Killed An Undergraduate And A Friend In A Gruesome Manner

Policemen attached to the Badagry Police Division, Lagos State, and some hoodlums have been accused of killing a 25-year-old undergraduate of Delta State University, Ifechukwude Nwainokpor, and his friend, identified simply as Kazeem.
An eight-minute video clip of the gruesome killing showed the two victims handcuffed together. They were covered in their own blood and beaten to death with sticks. Tyres were also put round their necks.
An irate mob could be seen in the video, shouting, “die, die, burn them, burn them.”
At some points in the video, a policeman was seen interviewing the boys. He asked who sent them (victims) to rob the area, an accusation they denied. One of the hoodlums, holding a sharp object attempted to cut off the private part of one of the victims.
Nwainokpor could be seen pleading with the hoodlums and policemen to spare his life, saying he could identify himself if given a chance. His plea, however, fell on deaf ears.
A source, who visited the family of Nwainokpor on Tuesday, learnt that the lynching took place around 3pm on July 21, 2013 in Ajara area of Badagry, a community not far from Nwainokpor’s family home.

Bible Remains Intact After Car Burnt To Ashes In Abuja

Indeed miracles are real! They are experiential occurrences which raise the conviction of believers and their devotion to spirituality across all faiths. A very strange miracle occurred in Abuja on Saturday, when a Bible remained untouched by fire from a car that burnt into ashes.

The car, driven by one Jeremiah Giwa, who arrived the country from United Kingdom about five months ago after completing his tertiary education, swerved off the road, tumbled and eventually landed in a ditch, exploding in flames.
Jeremiah who was driving the care narrates the event and the Bible miracle:
“My younger brother, Joshua and I were going to pick our parents and elder brother from the airport, so we had an accident on the way at the road before Galadimawa. We were coming from our home in the Games Village. The car was very fine and it hadn’t developed any fault before.
"That morning, it was raining and the car began to swerve off the road. I tried to bring the car back on the road but the break was not holding anymore. I tried ceaselessly and I later lost control of the car. The car eventually tumbled twice after moving zigzag on the road and landed in a ditch.

10 Weird Human Sȅx Facts [+18 ONLY]

Sure, animal sȅx is weird, but humans are part of that strange kingdom. Here are 10 Weird sȅx Facts that prove we're civilized here at the top of the food chain and yet still pretty freakin' gross
1. During sweaty sȅx, men ooze testosterone. And it's actually a biological turn on for women!
2. There's almost 500 different types of bacteria in your mouth. Almost 50% of them live on your tongue. So perhaps the French Kiss should be renamed the Twice As Dirty Kiss.
3. One out of seventeen, or 400,000,000 people have sȅx a day. 4,000 people are doing it right now! So, the world is a rockin', don't go a knockin'.
4. Turn up the heat, in every way. The hotter the room, the fiercer the rgasm. Vasocongestion, or the heat flush on your skin, is akin to blushing from sȅx.
5. Your vā̆gina is also a great swim coach. The pelvic spasms caused by an rgasm actually move spȅrm up stream towards fertilizing your eggs.
6. Pops likes to get it on. Seventy-three-percent of 70-year-old men are still potent. Whoa, down boy!
7. The endorphins released during sȅx actually relieve a headache. So that old excuse isn't just tired, it's just plain wrong!

Tonto Dikeh In Trouble As Movie Producers, Directors Stop Giving Her Roles

Tonto Charity Dikeh has become a force to reckon with in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood. The actress and singer from Rivers State is of the Ikwerre tribe. Born June 9, 1985, Dikeh competed against other contestants on a reality TV show called The Next Movie Star where she was the first runner-up.Hitz writes about the many controversies of the sultry actress and why she should take it easy for a blossomed career.

Pope Francis Says “Who Am I To Judge Gay People?

Pope Francis has said gay people should not be marginalised but integrated into society.
Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church’s position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not.
“If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge him?”
He also said he wanted a greater role for women in the Church, but insisted they could not be priests.
The Pope arrived back in Rome on Monday after a week-long tour of Brazil – his first trip abroad as pontiff – which climaxed with a huge gathering on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach for a world Catholic youth festival.
Festival organisers estimated it attracted more than three million people.
His remarks on gay people are being seen as much more conciliatory than his predecessor’s position on the issue.

Six Dating Rules To Break

Still, most guys will want to pay on the first date (men have rules too). But after date numero uno, “it’s all about the ‘new fifty-fifty,’” ….Did he buy dinner? Reciprocate by covering drinks and treating for the next meal out.
Do you really need another dating guide? In a word: Yep. Today, the average age of a woman’s first marriage is 27 (compared with 20 in 1960). That means the boy-meets-girl dating rules you learned from your mom and have been vaguely following since you were a teen need to be updated. And in a time of ever-changing social mores and social media, romance is more confusing than ever (“Is it weird if I tweet at him?”). WH spoke with psychologists, scientists, and dating experts to give you a truly modern love manual.
1. The Rule: Offer to pay.
Bend It: Insist on paying. Unless, of course, you’re looking for a sugar daddy and don’t care about having an egalitarian relationship. OK, that’s a bit dramatic, but point is, you want to set the tone that you’re an equal partner—and contributing financially does that, says Chiara Atik, an expert with online dating and relationship site HowAboutWe.com.Still, most guys will want to pay on the first date (men have rules too). But after date numero uno, “it’s all about the ‘new fifty-fifty,’” says Atik. That doesn’t mean going Dutch (laying down two credit cards after a candlelit meal is about as romantic as flicking through your Instagram feed mid-date). Instead, find other ways to pony up. Did he buy dinner? Reciprocate by covering drinks and treating for the next meal out. 2. The Rule: Don’t rush to contact him (you’ll seem desperate).

VIDEOS: Nigerian Judge Caught On Tape Negotiating Bribe To Skew Justice

A senior Nigerian judge serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Gambia, Joseph Wowo, has been sacked for soliciting a N2.5 million (500,000 Dalasi) bribe from a Gambian-based Dutch businessman in return for a favourable judgment in a land dispute case
Mr. Wowo, also a former President of the Gambia Court of Appeal, was caught on tape holding a surreptitious meeting with the former Gambian Justice Minister, Lamin Jobarteh (who has also been sacked), a Dutch national, André Klaarbergen, and his Nigerian Lawyer simply identified as Mene, negotiating the price of subverting the judgment of a Gambian High Court over a land dispute case, which Mr. Wowo agrees the Dutch rightly lost.
“How much are you willing to offer first so that we can negotiate,” Mr Wowo was heard saying on tape, now posted on Youtube. “You know my position based on my position I’m not even supposed to come here in the first place. I’m the President of the court of Appeal and now I’m acting Chief Justice,” he continued, openly admitting he was sabotaging the course of justice by even agreeing to be at the meeting.
“I’ve read your file at the Court of Appeal, [and] that is why I said you don’t have any case at the Court of Appeal. You will lose at the court of Appeal because the way they deal with the case at the Court of Appeal, the lawyer messed it up. That is why I called your lawyer and said let us see how we can help you,” confirming that the lower court had made the right call in the case.

REVEALED: How These Girls Are Used As sèx Slaves In Lagos

It will shock you how this young girls (teenagers) are turned into sèx slaves in underground cartels:

"I was in JSS3 at the time, and I was too young to understand anything. So, when I became pregnant, I told my boyfriend about it, but he denied it and ran away. That was how I stopped going to school. After about two years, I came to Lagos to hustle. One aunty then introduced me to this business."

Martha is a 15-year-old girl endowed with beauty but...
She faces a very bleak future as she is held captive in a brothel in Gbagada, a suburb of Lagos, where she has to sleep with men old enough to be her father and surrender her entire earnings to a woman designated as her aunty. In return, the aunty gives Martha a sum she deems sufficient to cater for her basic needs.

The more than two decades old brothel is located close to Sawmill Bus-stop in Gbagada. In it resides a cartel of mature prostitutes called aunties, to whom younger girls like Martha are responsible. The older prostitutes act as guardians to the younger ones aged between 14 and 19 years. Most of the girls are said to have been lured to Lagos from Edo and Delta states by their aunties. With a promise of the good life, the girls follow the aunties to Lagos only to be lured into prostitution.

'I Prayed And God Gave Me Another Woman's Husband' - Actress Foluke Daramola

This actress and her way of justifying husband snatching is funny. She made a man, who used to love his wife and kids, to send them out of his house overnight and she's calling it "God answers prayer"? How sad!

Below is a brief part of a recent chat where Foluke Darama talk about her action:

Since you got married, you hardly talk about your new status. Why?
Well, I thank God. I did not plan for it. I had told myself that I was out of it, and I was done with it. It just happened. I am happy with my husband. I thank God that I have a man that understands me and has taken me for who I am. He is someone who tells me to keep giving my best. He gives me a lot of push.

Many say the marriage is that of convenience, and it’s all about the money. What is your reaction to this?
It is not at all about material things. In fact, if it is about material things, I would not be in this marriage; I will be somewhere else. What I need and prayed to God for is a man who will love me and understand me, and I got my wish.

Photos: Biggest Jewlery Theft In The World

A staggering $53 million worth of diamonds and other jewels were stolen Sunday from the Carlton Intercontinental Hotel in Cannes, in one of Europe's biggest jewelry heists recent years, police said.
The hotel in the sweltering French Riviera was hosting a temporary jewelry exhibit over the summer from the prestigious Leviev diamond house, which is owned by Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev.
A police spokesman said the theft took place around noon, but he could not confirm local media reports that the robber was a single gunman who stuffed a suitcase with the gems before making a swift exit. The spokesman spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter on the record.
Several police officers were placed in front of the Carlton exhibition room to prevent journalists and photographers gathered at the scene from entering.
