The pint-sized beggar with sad eyes and a deep voice is well known in Oshodi, Lagos especially at the BRT park area of the metropolis where he plies his trade.
He describes how he was arrested by officials of the Lagos State government. “The reason I am scared to go any-where with anyone is because of what happened to me and my brothers some months ago when the government arrested us for begging in Oshodi.
“We were taken to the Alausa Police station and subsequently to court where we were all sentenced to jail for seven months. “I was taken to Ikorodu, while my brothers Shola and Ismaila were taken to Badagry prisons.

“I spent seven solid months in their custody with my disabilities: I saw hell. “After serving my seven months term, I was given a wheel chair in Abeokuta where they later transferred me to, to complete my term. “They also promised they would give me some financial assistance but till now, I am yet to see anyone.”
“If I get help from the government, if Fashola can assist me with a decent abode or if he sends me to school, I will never go back to begging again. “I will like to act in Yoruba movies if I have the opportunity.”
