Watch Rihanna Get a Painful Traditional Maori Tattoo

AHHHHHHH! Rihanna decided to commemorate her trip to New Zealand by getting a traditional Maori tattoo on her hand. While she's certainly no stranger to tattoos, ta moko tattoos aren't applied by a needle, but instead by a chisel EEEEEEEEEEEEK! And a mallet WAAAAAAAAAAAH!
A local musician uploaded a video to YouTube that shows Rihanna grimacing as the tattoo artist literally chisels pigment into her skin YEEEEEEEEESH!

The tattoo of traditional Maori markings goes from her fingers to her forearm and OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD it looks so painful.
Ta moko tattoos were commonplace among the Maori people of New Zealand, though they fell out of favor in the 19th century. They have enjoyed a recent resurgence as a means for people to connect with New Zealand's indigenous culture.
