Alhaji
Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (44), is the Kaduna State Governor-in-waiting. He
is an Accountant and was a Commissioner of Finance in Kaduna state till
May 2010.
Born
May 1, 1968 in Zaria, Alhaji Mukhtar Yero, had his primary school
education at LEA Kaura in Zaria City between 1974 to 1980 and went
to Government Secondary School, Ikara from 1980 to 1985. He completed
his secondary school education at GovernmentDay Secondary School, Zaria
in 1986.
In
his pursuit for higher education, Yero went to Institute of
Administration, ABU, Zaria from 1986 to 1991 where he bagged his
bachelor of science degree (BSC) in Accountancy. He had his Masters
degree MBA also at the same institution in 2003.
Alhaji
Mukhtar did his mandatory one year National Youth Service at Bulk
Purchasing Corporation, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State in 1991. He started
his working career at the bursary department of ABU, Zaria in 1992.
In
1993, he joined the defunct Nigeria Universal Bank Limited and left it
in 1997 to pick up appointment at Nalado Nigeria Limited, a company
owned by Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo as chief accountant. He
rose to become the Director of Finance and Administration in the
organisation, a position he was holding till his appointment as
Commissioner of Finance in 2007.
