Moses Desperate for Lampard to Stay

Victor Moses has said Chelsea’s players would love Frank Lampard to sign a new deal at the club despite the midfielder not yet having been offered an extension.
Winger Moses, who joined the Blues from Wigan in August, hailed his team-mate as a legend ahead of Chelsea’s Europa League semi-final clash with Basle.
Lampard, who moved to Stamford Bridge in 2001 from West Ham, has chipped in with his usual heavy share of goals with 16 strikes in all competitions this season, but has yet to be offered a stay at the club, prompting fans’ fury.
But Moses insists that if it was up to the players, the decision would already have been made.
“Everyone would like to see Frank Lampard stay next season,” he told Daily Mail .
“He has been magnificent for us this season; he’s scored goals and created goals at the same time. He is a legend for this club and the players would love to see him here next season.”
Moses also insisted his side are focused on the job at hand despite rumours of a sensational return for Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge to replace current interim manager Rafa Benitez.
The Real Madrid manager has been heavily linked with a move back to the club where he won back-to-back Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006.
“At the moment there is a rumour going that Jose Mourinho could come back,” said Moses.
“He’s a good manager but we just keep on playing games and try to stay in the top four to be in the Champions league next season.”
