Ebuka doesn’t have spec but women’s hair makes him swoon when it comes to the body.
Ever since Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was introduced on television through Big Brother Nigeria in 2006, he has refused to leave the entertainment scene. He has hosted some television programmes including the Nigeria Symposium for Youth and Emerging Leaders, organised by The Future Project, where Saturday Beats hooked up with the young bloke.
He told Saturday Beats what he likes in a woman though he feels it is weird. The television presenter was, however, fast to note that he is in a relationship so that crazy fans could stay back. He shared an experience with a fan.
Ebuka said, “I’m in a relationship and that is all that matters to me at the moment. I was in the club and went to the men’s bathroom and a girl followed me and locked the door. She started running her hands down my chest and said, ‘You are Ebuka right.’ Someone walked in.
“She felt uncomfortable and walked out. Later, I thought to myself that it was interesting but at that moment, all I wanted to do was run. I did not know who she was.”
Talking about his girlfriend, the lawyer said, “My girl is great and awesome and I’ve been dating her for a while. One thing I really like about her is her brain, she is really smart.”
The television host also spilled on what draws his attention to a woman.
“Generally in any girl, there are few things I notice. I love hair, which is very strange. Most people wonder what my problem is. It could be your natural hair or not. I just love a girl who has hair that is very well cared for.
“That was probably the first thing I noticed in her and I struck up a conversation and the brains took over. I’m not saying I will marry the ugliest girl in the world, but beauty is not a factor to me. I like people who I feel are smarter than I am because I know I’m smart. I do not think I have a spec when it comes to the body. If you are okay looking and you are smart, you have me,” he said.
The ex-BBN housemate told Saturday Beats that unknown to many, he practises law.
“I went to school probably after I did not need it. I had been on television for five years before I went back to school. I practise law now; a lot of people do not know that. I went to school to study intellectual property and entertainment law and also communications law.
“I have two masters degree because I’m in the entertainment industry and I’m a lawyer. I wanted to see how I could balance both in some way. Entertainment law in Nigeria is dead but it has potential in some ways. It is not working at the moment,” he said.
