Commercial séx Workers lament Low Patronage On Okada Ban In Edo State

Commercial séx workers in Benin City, the Edo State capital, have expressed deep concern over the dwindling decline on patronage following the ban on Okada bike riders on the business.
Checks reveal that most of the owners of Red spots and brothels littered around some major streets within the metropolis have equally lamented the low patronage from clients who usually engage the services of bike riders to enjoy their pleasure.

Some of the popular spots visited by our correspondent including, Ugbague, Aso time, Twilite brothel, Jajat by Akpakpava, Time out by Ihama junction, Ugbogbo guest house, Atlantic hotel by third junction among others, have also been recording very low patronage. Amaka (not her real name) who is an in house séx worker at Ugbague said since the ban on Okada, business has been very poor adding that it is beginning to take an adverse effect on their business.

“My brother business no good at all, since the governor ban these Okada people, those that use to come and patronize us have reduced so much that we can hardly boast of having Three thousand naira for a day.”

“At times we use to do quickie for between three and five hundred naira, but now even at Two hundred naira, there is nobody to meet you. The truth is that those who used to come to us were not only Okada riders, men who don’t want people to see their cars parked in front of the brothel were our major clients but now, all that is gone. So, my brother show no dey again.” she stated.
