ADELE has given birth to a baby boy. The Vogue cover girl and partner Simon Konecki welcomed their first child on Friday night.
The 24-year-old is said to be "ecstatic" at the arrival of her son, whose name is yet to be revealed. "We are not releasing a statement at this time," said the singer's spokesperson over the weekend.Adele announced her pregnancy back in June via her website, saying: "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele."
The new mother is set to miss the world premiere of James Bond film Skyfall in London tomorrow night. The singer recorded the theme song which was released last Friday and is tipped to be the first ever Bond track to take the number one spot in the official chart.
"Adele doesn't want to leave her little boy's side, it's as simple as that," a source told The Sun on her decision to skip the event. "Right through her pregnancy she's been practically a shut-in as she wanted to look after herself and the baby. Now he's here, she can't bear heading out without him, even to hobnob with royalty."
