When we broke the story of the alleged romance between the wife of Chief Layiwola Olakojo, the ex-Secretary to the Oyo State Government and ex-governor Adebayo Alao Akala, it generated so much controversies that barely 24 hours after the story hit the newsstand, our phone lines started buzzing, while some threatened to march to our office and destroy it as if we are still in the Kiriji era, majority gave us kudos and even offered valuable tips Read it here
Though the protagonists, Akala and Olakojo were said to be out of the country, when the story broke, both are now back, according to our sources, while Akala returned to a home heavily burgled by robbers, who carted away valuables like expensive jewelry valued at over N100m and foreign currencies said to be in various denominations of dollars and pounds sterling said to be between 25-50 million. The ex-SSG, Olakojo is also back to a now empty home as his young wife eloped with his money, some say $20,000, while some said $50,000 and other valuables. In the case of Olakojo, the looting was at the behest of his fleeing wife and her friends before she took off to the United States of America.
“Oyin left a note for her husband that the money she took was for the upkeep of their infant son, Layiwola (Jnr.). In the note, Oyin also reportedly said she decided to move on with her life because the husband refused to meet up with her at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles for a programme even when the man was not in the country,” said a source.
A close family source told us that with the current development, the family would be left with no option, but to go for a DNA anytime Oyin appears with the boy in the future.
We are aware that she is somewhere in Atlanta, USA and we are also aware of the former governor she was with sometime in January at Southern Sun Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Things are just falling into places now and in the fullness of time, all that is hidden will be exposed.
Another source disclosed that the estranged couple were actually preparing for their second child, which was to be by Invitro Fertilization, popularly called IVF, to be done in America, but the equation has changed, Oyin is said to be trying to start life all over again and might not be in a hurry to come back to Nigeria for now.
